Happy Holidays!

Yes, I know, we have not posted recently.  Better late then never, right?   As you can see, we have a new puppy and a new camper..a few things we added to our family.  We are very excited about the additions.

We used the camper once, became a member of Pop up times(a magazine, lol), and have been talking about trips we might take next year.  One of those trip being a road trip out to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and go north from there.    Another trip is going to be a weekend of the RAGBRAI- it’s a bike ride up in Iowa, we’re going to try it out and see how we like it.  Other then those trips we’ll be doing trips throughout the year to local places.  I can’t wait.

Brodie is our puppies name.  He seems to be a good puppy, besides being hyperactive and biting a lot, we have been paper training him in an upstairs bathroom.  It’s too cold outdoors for him, he just shivers.  He’s learning slow…he goes when we take him out of his box and after eating, it’s the time in between we need to work on.    It’s good to have him around, it seems to be bringing me and Jackie closer together too.  I was very wary at first, but glad we got him.

I also have a couple of web design projects coming up in the the next month.  One is to redesign campusgorillas.com and another is to create a DJ website.  I am also starting up a networking group like BNI.  Hopefully, this all will bring in some extra money and help with cost of everything going on.

All of my energy/tension release is going good, just annoying and intense at times.  Surprisingly, it has almost been a year since stopping drinking coffee and setting down this path.  I have been getting some memories of my past back that I havn’t  thought about in a long time.  But, I’ve also been a little sick this last week.  I was thinking it was an underlining illness that was under all of my tension.  I’ve been relaxing and can feel that it’s going to be all good soon.

Happy Hollidays,

cj

This might be us soon…

Well we finally finished the Horsey Hundred this weekend. We biked about 92+ miles on Saturday and Sunday. Tired but feelin’ good…we burned thousands of calories–always great!

Here is our pictures of the trip including our stops by Land between the Lakes and Garden of the Gods.

If you visit our site and were drawn here by our jersey’s or meeting us at the HH…leave us a comment! We’d love to hear from the people we met or passed on the road this weekend!

Well…it’s set…we’re taking off in a couple days…heading for the beautiful sights of Georgetown, KY! We returned the new camera toy CJ bought and replaced it with a caribener camera that’s 100x better than the other!

We will have pictures posted from our ride and the weekend adventures both on and off the road as soon as we return!

To make the weekend even better…we’re heading to Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois on Sunday to enjoy Memorial Day camping and relaxing after a long bike riding weekend!

Wish us luck this weekend!!!

Spring is finally here (I think)

We have a lot planned for this year, and want to make it the best yet.
Starting off with sand volleyball in the spring, we will be playing in New town St. Charles.  Should be fun.
I also want to bike a lot this year, so much that I want to be ready to enter some minor races next year.  This will be a great motivation for me to lose 20 or more pounds.
Besides our big camping trip out to colorado, I want to do more weekend trips. A couple sites I have my eyes on are.
- Camping out for the Horsey Hundred
- Shawnee national rain forest
- Lake of the Ozarks
- Land between the lakes
- Chicago (to bike the lake front)
I also want to get outside as much as I can.  I can’t stand being couped up indoors.

Lots of Updates from St. Chuck

Let’s see…I am definitely finding tons of success with not just weight loss but also inches…I’m down about 7lbs from 4weeks ago and about 2″ in my hips and 1 1/2″ in my waist! It’s so exciting! So…3 more lbs and i’ve reached my goal!

I am finally OUT OF HAZELWOOD!!!! No more ridiculous problems in the classroom and all the other issues I have with the district. On a more positive note…I’ve completed 2 interviews for one English position at Marquette High School in the Rockwood District. That is very exciting news and now I must wait for the final decision. I think I’ve got the position, but I’m definitely not 100% sure. Either way…God always has a plan.

And I think we have decided to knock out Yellowstone National Park from our summer’s road/camping trip. We are thinking of going through southern South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore…if anyone has any suggestions of other places near there to visit, we’d love to hear about them. We are still planning to see the Rockies, Great Sand Dunes, and Denver…we are definitely up for suggestions of where else to go in Colorado. We are getting more and more excited for this trip.

Finally…the weather has actually cooperated enough recently to get out on our bikes again…I’ve only gone a couple times, but CJ has spent at least 3 or 4 days on his bike now and has even gotten in some tennis!

I’d say that’s about it for now! Leave us a message, comment, or suggestion if you read our site! We’d love to hear from other people!
