Biking for Sushi

This year is flying by so quickly. I can’t believe that I was just excitedly counting down to Christmas and it has already passed by. The older we get, the quicker our lives fly by us. I’m afraid to keep counting down to the important events and holidays in my life because they come and go so quickly. Before we know it, New Year’s Eve will be here and it’ll be 2009! This holiday break is one of the fastest breaks I’ve ever had, but so far it’s been one of the best! I got one of the best presents I could’ve asked for from CJ.

I guess all we can do now is just continue to soak up every moment of every day and never let any of them go to waste! On a more positive note–CJ and I have a whole new year of memories, adventures, biking, camping, friends, family, and much much more that we can enjoy! It’s going to be great.

Christmas is now 2 days away and, as it moves closer, I begin to realize more and more how much I have already been given this year. CJ and I have both been blessed in so many ways this year. We both have families that have been supportive in difficult times, when we have needs, and are always there to help build great memories!

At times, I think we tend to forget what matters most at Christmas time…or anytime really. We get so caught up in trying to find the right gifts for each other and spend so much time battling crowds at the mall that we lose sight of what matters…family, friends, and everyway we have all been blessed in our lives.

My favorite part of Christmas is sitting with family and friends enjoying each other’s company. Don’t get me wrong, the gifts are great too, but it’s such a great time to be with those closest to us. I love creating new memories. This year I’m even more excited about Christmas because I get to spend it with my family, of course, but also CJ and his family.
